Classes with Openings
Attention Parents of Gymnastics Students
Any Spotlight student who is enrolled in gymnastics must have their hair pulled back for class each week. Students cannot see when their hair is in their face and they are upside down. For the safety of your child please have hair pulled back before class each week. Also, it is highly recommended that students wear leotards for gymnastics class. Loose fitting shirts make it hard for teachers to effectively spot students and students cannot concentrate on their skills when loose fitting clothing gets in the way. The Spotlight offers gymnastics leotards if you need to purchase one for your student. No jewelry is to be worn during gymnastics class either, please leave valuable items at home.
Attention Parents of Dance Students
Any Spotlight student who is enrolled in dance must have their hair pulled back for class each week. Students cannot see when their hair is down and when turning their hair can get into their eyes. Also, please make sure your child is dressed in the appropriate dance clothes for their class. Leggings or gym shorts are preferred if your child is not wearing tights to class. Ballet dress code is pink tights and black leotards. Dance skirts are allowed but no shorts and sweatshirts for ballet class. Please respect your child’s teacher by following these guidelines, pajama pants and jeans are not appropriate attire for dance class.
The Spotlight has additional parking in the back lot. Please do not park beside the building, this area is needed for vehicles to get in and out of our back lot easily and blocks the view when children are released out the side doors. The church next door has allowed us to use their lot if the back lot is full. We also ask that when parking out front that your vehicle does not block the handicap ramp. Also, please do not park too close to Harcourt Rd., park only within the white lines in the lot in the front. Thank you!
Please pick up a Spotlight handbook in the lobby if you did not review the one emailed to you at registration. This handbook is very important and can answer many questions you may have. The tuition breakdown is located in the center of the handbook, along with dress code for each dance class and class descriptions. Also located on the back page is the calendar for the year with listed holiday breaks, re-enrollment timeline, etc.
