A reminder to all on the bi-annual payment plan, your second payment is due by January 10th. Payment slips are being sent home with your child this week if they were in class. Thank you for your prompt payment.
Thank you to all who donated gloves and hats for our giving tree. The Spotlight was pleased to give many bags full of new gloves and hats to the Salvation Army and Children’s Services before the holiday. The Spotlight was also pleased to announce that the American Girl Doll and Spotlight Bag raffle raised more than $800 for Food for the Hungry. Thank you again for helping out those in need in our local community. Adeline Fontaine was the proud winner of the Spotlight gift basket, and Kelsey Spencer was the winner of the American Girl Doll.
Please remember all monthly tuition payments are due by the 10th of the month. Payments not received by the 10th will be charged a $5 late fee. Payments may be turned in at the front desk or mailed to the Spotlight, 685 Harcourt Rd., Mt. Vernon, OH 43050. You may also access your account online and make payments online or sign up at the front desk for automatic withdrawal of your monthly payment.
Spotlight teachers are beginning to work on choreography for the spring recital and would appreciate all parents calling in their child’s absence. Please call 393-2623 and leave a message if your child is unable to attend class.
Snowflakes will be falling this winter, we would like to remind everyone of The Spotlight’s cancellation policy. If the studio must close due to inclement weather there will be a recording on the voicemail as well as posted on the website at www.thespotlightcenter.com. Just because schools are closed does not mean The Spotlight will be closed, so please check on days that the weather is questionable. The Spotlight staff will attempt to post any closing by 1 p.m.
There may be times that we must cancel classes due to weather, our policy provides one ‘cushion day” for each day of the week. This means that each day of the week could have one cancelled day of classes without requiring a makeup lesson. If a certain day’s classes are cancelled more than once, a makeup class will be scheduled.
Costumes are starting to arrive, Miss Katie and Miss Stephanie will be sorting and invoicing costumes and plan to send home slips by the end of February. Each family will receive one slip with a total that includes all costume and recital fees. Costumes will not be sent home until April. Once you receive your child’s costume balance and recital fee slip please plan to pay your balance by March 31 so that your child will be able to take their costume home in April.
Please mark your 2023 calendar. The spring recitals are on May 26 & 27, these dates were announced last July during registration. All shows will be at the Memorial Theater in Mt. Vernon. Teachers will be working on show line up and dress rehearsal times soon. More information will be posted in the Spotlight lobby in March. Each class will perform in only one show.
