More classes and special workshops may be announced in the coming weeks (including Yoga for Kids workshops). Slow Flow is offered on Mondays at 9:00 a.m. and Vinyasa Flow is offered Thursdays at 9:00 a.m. Both in person and zoom options are available. Classes are $15 for a 1 time drop-in or $135 for a 10 pack of classes. You must sign up before attending class so we know how many to expect (or where to send the zoom link). Sign up is under events in the student portal. See Miss Katie if you have any questions.

Important Reminder: Dance Shoes are ONLY for Dance Class & Label Your Items

As you may have noticed, The Spotlight has Marley dance floors in each dance studio. These floors are high quality, so we ask that you please respect our property and do NOT allow children to wear their dance shoes to and from class or outside at all. This ruins the shoes and in turn damages our floors. We want the best for our students and hope that you will help us keep our floors in great condition.

Just a quick reminder to please label all dance shoes and apparel. All pink ballet slippers and black tap shoes tend to look alike. Place an address label inside your dancer’s shoes or use white tape inside the shoes with the child’s name on them. This helps the teachers at the Spotlight make sure everyone is going home with the correct shoes. If you have left something at the studio please check at the front desk to see if it is there.

2020 Recital DVDs

Attention Spotlight students who participated in the 2020 Recital, the DVDs are available at the front desk. Please stop by and pick your’s up as soon as possible if you have not done so. Thank you!

Classes with Openings

We are still enrolling in a few of our classes, Explorer 3 and Tumble Time, so please let your friends and other family members know. They can register online through the website or give us a call at 393-2623 or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If you have any questions about your child’s class please give us a call or send us an email, or leave us a note at the front desk.

Attention Parents of Gymnastics Students

Any Spotlight student who is enrolled in gymnastics must have their hair pulled back for class each week. Students cannot see when their hair is in their face and they are upside down. For the safety of your child please have hair pulled back before class each week. Also, it is highly recommended that students wear leotards for gymnastics class. Loose fitting shirts make it hard for teachers to effectively spot students and students cannot concentrate on their skills when loose fitting clothing gets in the way. The Spotlight offers gymnastics leotards if you need to purchase one for your student. No jewelry is to be worn during gymnastics class either, please leave valuable items at home.

Attention Parents of Dance Students

Any Spotlight student who is enrolled in dance must have their hair pulled back for class each week. Students cannot see when their hair is down and when turning their hair can get into their eyes. Also, please make sure your child is dressed in the appropriate dance clothes for their class. Leggings or gym shorts are preferred if your child is not wearing tights to class. Ballet dress code is pink tights and black leotards. Dance skirts are allowed but no shorts and sweatshirts for ballet class. Please respect your child’s teacher by following these guidelines, pajama pants and jeans are not appropriate attire for dance class.

The Spotlight has additional parking in the back lot. Please do not park beside the building, this area is needed for vehicles to get in and out of our back lot easily and blocks the view when children are released out the side doors. The church next door has allowed us to use their lot if the back lot is full. We also ask that when parking out front that your vehicle does not block the handicap ramp. Also, please do not park too close to Harcourt Rd., park only within the white lines in the lot in the front. Thank you!

Spotlight Handbook

Please pick up a Spotlight handbook in the lobby if you did not review the one emailed to you at registration. This handbook is very important and can answer many questions you may have. The tuition breakdown is located in the center of the handbook, along with dress code for each dance class and class descriptions. Also located on the back page is the calendar for the year with listed holiday breaks, re-enrollment timeline, etc.
